April saw Melland High School host their annual Career’s Fair. There was a real buzz about the place as parents, carers, students and our partners were all invited to come along and discover opportunities available to them out of school and beyond their time at Melland. The Fair was very well attended by local colleges, charities, employers and local clubs and groups, who were all very impressed with our young people and their aspirations. Students ranging from year 7 right up to our year 14s were able to come and chat to colleges, pick up application forms and start to think about their futures. Our resident Careers Advisor Paul Malamed was on hand with his wealth of knowledge to help students and parents begin to map out their own future pathways.
A big thank you must go to Amanda Wright our Work Experience Coordinator who made the day possible.
“What an amazing turnout today for our annual Career’s Fair at Melland High School. It was great to see so many young people interacting with colleges, training providers and social groups. I feel it is so important for children to be given the opportunity to have those important discussions about their prospects with the relevant organisations, so they are able to make the right choices when planning for their futures. Thank you to all the exhibitors and members of staff that help organise today. ” Amanda Wright – Work Experience Coordinator https://www.facebook.com/rightopportunities/
