Religious Education is concerned with the deep meaning that individuals and groups make of their experiences and how this helps them give purpose to their lives. It offers opportunities for personal reflection and spiritual development. It enhances pupils’ awareness and understanding of religions and beliefs, teachings, practices and forms of expression, as well as of the influence of religion on individuals, families, communities and cultures.
Within KS3, during the autumn term the focus was Islam, during the spring term it is SEAL and in the summer term it will be Buddhism. Within KS4 during the autumn term the focus was Hinduism, during the spring term it is Judaism and in the summer term it will be Sikhism.
