Manchester Schools Indoor Rowing Competition
Back to article list

25th February 2016

In December a team of KS4 students entered the Manchester schools indoor rowing competition at Levenshulme High school. There was one team of four boys and one team of four girls. The teams had to take turns in rowing for two minutes each , which is quite tiring. After each team member rowed it was calculated how far they rowed. BOTH TEAMS CAME FIRST! This meant that they qualified for the regional championships representing Manchester.

This week both the rowing teams went to Wigan to compete against other schools from the North West. After a valiant effort we had one success where Candice Biell came second overall which is an outstanding achievement. All the rowers worked very hard and were a credit to our school so well done to them.

The teams were:-

Candice                                           Lewis

Nicole                                             Javani

Tanisha                                          D’relle

Shakira                                          Declan
