Last week sixth form students made a great impression when touring the heritage renovations of Murrays’ Mills, Ancoats, Manchester. Students met with Louise Seddon and Joe Jones of Graham Construction. The project intends to breathe new life into the world’s oldest steam powered cotton mill. Students made a tour of the site, inspecting plans and learning about the opportunities and demands of the modern construction industry. Melland High School and Graham Construction hope to forge a long term partnership collaborating in a range of projects including art projects, work visits, work shadowing and work experience placements.
