Professional Squash Lessons for 6th Formers
Back to article list

14th May 2019

An exciting opportunity has opened up for Melland 6th Formers this week. The Young Leaders Squash Coaching Team have started a series of sessions at The Northern Lawn Tennis Club. Ten 6th Form students have been learning how to play squash for the first time. As beginners they have been learning the key skills of how to use the racket to hit the ball effectively and how to move strategically around the court. They have also been learning the rules of the game and how to score points. They will be attending every Thursday afternoon for the next four weeks. This is a very exciting opportunity and all students involved have approached it with a positive attitude. We would like to thank Anna Vaughn-Hawkins, Head Squash Coach for arranging this with Mrs Harrison and Mr Beddows.
