3E continued their Roald Dahl project last week exploring a new book ‘Matilda’. A lot of the student were familiar with this book as they had seen the film or read it at home. The students focused on sequencing speech that occurred in chapter 11.
The student then arranged the speech in order and drew pictures to accompany the speech bubbles. This was to be the plan for their own comics that they would star in.
The students used their iPads to take photos in their groups to recreate the famous chocolate cake eating scene. They then learnt to import these images into comic life and add speech bubbles and onomatopoeic words that they had been learning about.
