From the pictures you would think that our 3E students were taking a nap during PE. However, this is not the case. Our students took part in the Manchester Goalball championships held at Levenshulme for Girls. Goalball is designed for blind athletes but can be enjoyed by all ages and all abilities with the help of a blindfold.  Participants compete in teams of three, and try to throw a ball that has bells embedded in it into the opponents’ goal. Teams alternate throwing or rolling the ball from one end of the playing area to the other trying to score. Melland students really enjoyed this tournament and improved throughout. Aaron said “It was really weird not being able to see but it was lots of fun”.
